Use of CAMS data
Data from the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) provide users with important tools for monitoring atmospheric conditions and validating national data sets.
Partners and areas of responsibility
This project brings together expertise from the University of Tartu Climate Research Center, the Estonian Environmental Research Center, and the Environmental Agency, which are responsible for climate research, atmospheric education, air quality monitoring, and environmental data management in Estonia.
Objectives and activities
The three key institutions will develop new air quality monitoring strategies and support national climate change adaptation activities. The activities planned within the framework of the project will strengthen inter-institutional cooperation.
Results and impact
The result is a more comprehensive approach to these issues and more detailed recommendations for policymakers on developing strategies to improve air quality and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Data integration
By integrating CAMS data into existing data portals, this project provides the public sector with additional information on atmospheric conditions and air quality.
